Erm , my game hanged after i gotten to past the tree thingy at the 1st stage... the screen goes black and it cames out a error .. ;(

Reporting a bug!

When I first installed the patch I thought you did not translate any of the Menu text,

but then I found out that I did not replace the DATA folder,

BUT when I did, everything worked fine,

UNTIL! one of those announcements came up that says "Defeat all the monsters" or whatever, thats when it froze up and crashed my computer,


I was not using any of the Expansions.

is there any way to Avoid this without having to get the Expansions?

First make sure your Ex3 can run without translation first...
Afterward, U only need to paste the patch into your Ex3 folder...

umm,does the patch translate the extra sections on ex1(i'm still playing ex1 only so i dont know about its existence in EX2 or 3)? you know,that fans letter reading at the radio station omake,i wonder about all that it writtens,im guessing its pretty hillarious (especially when the broadcaster blushes when reading )

Umm, When i patched my game, i did by an accident patch the normal RBO (Ex0?), and when i checked the stage select screen, the map in the background was gone!
What to do to fix it (if possible), and has someone else got the same problem?
Also, why does the patch change the caution screen instead of translate it?

Either use the uninstaller, or go inside your RBO "Data" folder...
Delete all folders [not files] except "Movie" and "SaveData"...

Ok, now it works.

Most likely that is caused by using the patch for original RBO, like corrupt data because of different version...
[the top part icons on your screenshot are icons for arena mode, while original RBO don't have one]

Making a translation patch for a game isn't easy.
You need to know a lot about the language, hex editing, programming, etc.
Yes, you also need to be able to edit the graphics.
This means not only deciphering the graphics format, but redrawing the graphics.
The work I've been doing would normally be done by an entire team of people.
I don't mean to discourage you, but it's extremely hard to learn this kind of thing.

well i know dis is stupid , but i need to know, seriously, if i extract dis patch to my ex3 folder, does dat mean all related games (initial, ex1, ex2) will be translated too ? or i need to extract to other folders also ? or wutever it is... plz reply me. btw sara, from the screenshot, i guess dis patch is god-like useful thanx

you need to extract it to others if you want it on original,EX1&2,but seriously,the patch still have major errors and crashes when you patch it in ori RBO,EX1,and2 the only bog free patch is the EX3 version and hey,EX3 has all the features of its previous versions so you dont need to play the previous ones!

Despite my numerous attempts to try to do it myself, i have failed. My Ex 3 folder works perfectly fine but when i put the patch in, no translation is made. I made a file "patch 8" into the DATA file on my EX 3 file and it doesnt seem to work... Oh and i never had patch 7, i tried that too though.

U need to extract the patch to your Ex3 folder, not to your Ex3 data folder...
When U do so, it will ask to overwrite your original "rbo_ex3.exe" and "RBOEx3Config.exe" file...
If U install version 8 of the patch, Sara-chan already include an uninstaller, so it's safe to overwrite it...
If U install version 7, U need to make backup of your original exe files manually...

Yeah, its good for all the english translations...but just one thing...i dunno if this occured to other PCs but...after i patch it, the whole RBO program is very laggy, in other words, its very slow...So, i jz configure the keys with the english version, and play it in japanese..

its the same with mine.. but i fixed it by turning off fullscreen, virtual psp res, and lowered options.. =p i miss the music though :sad:

yes, you need to be playing ex.3 for the translation patch to work.

Depends on you dl speed, if its good the all in one is faster.
