Is there any way you can have a game controler instead of the standard keyboard?

Yes.. You can use game controllers.. Just plug it in and config the controller keys to the keyboard keys..

I did try that, but when I try to configure, the configure didn't respond to my controler pad.

Maybe it's the lack of drivers. Try to find some for your controller. If it won't help then i don't know.
