Nothing much to say except I've been playing RBO for a good few years now. The earliest I have records of is in 2007, but I think I played a little before then, maybe. Either way, I've played for around 3 years.
I'm not great or anything, I've never played solo, and I main an Acolyte-F who's played in many different parties. I've finished Stage 8 only once, back in 07, with a Thief-M as my teammate. I've never played Arena Mode before last night. Recently, I've been playing a Swordman-F and a Mage-F.
So I think that explains most of my experience with the game, I always play things lightheartedly, so it always take me a good while to finish anything.

From the what I see, you only played the original game. You should try the expansion packs, one of which is ex1 that contains arena; I see you've already got it
Or you can take a look at the development section for some modification of the game.

I've actually always had the expansions, just, I never really tried the Arena.
Since not many people ever play, and I always play in parties, I have to start over nearly every time. Everyone always wants to make a new character. I usually start a new one with them. Haha. But I'm thinking of trying out solo play nowadays, just to see. Usually, we never make it farther than Stage 4. That is, until they have somewhere they need to be, or we have to sleep.
Well, Arena mode sure is difficult. But it definitely helps improve strategies. It makes us have to learn more about details about each monster and our players. Heh, I love the Arena mode.
